Is StudentLife OS really free for students?

Yes. Every student feature is free for life, including opportunity discovery, applications, the SLOS AI assistant, messaging, a verified profile, and secure document storage. There is no student trial because there is nothing to upgrade to.

What do I get during the free trial?

Organizations get full, premium-level access for 30 days, and schools get the complete platform. No credit card is required to start the trial.

What happens when my organization trial ends?

You are never charged automatically. If you do not choose a paid plan by the end of the trial, your account moves to the Free plan and your data is kept safe. You can post unlimited opportunities and receive applications on Free, and upgrade anytime to restore the rest.

When does my free trial start?

Your 30-day trial begins when you finish setting up your account (onboarding), not when you sign up or when your account is approved. That way you do not lose trial days while you are still getting set up.

If I buy a plan during my trial, do I lose the remaining days?

No. You keep full trial access for the rest of the trial, you are not charged until the trial ends, and the plan you chose begins automatically when the trial ends. After that it renews automatically each period until you cancel, so there is never a gap and you never pay twice for the same period.

Will I be charged automatically, and how do renewals work?

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period using your saved payment method, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Manage billing; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, then moves to Free for organizations.

How much do organization plans cost?

Free is $0 forever. Pro is $29 per month or $289 per year. Premium, our most popular plan, is $69 per month or $689 per year. Enterprise is custom. Annual billing saves about 17%, roughly two months free.

Why do you recommend the annual plan?

Our prices are set low to help you get started, so annual is the best value: you get about two months free. Premium annual saves $139 a year and Pro annual saves $59 a year. You can also pay in advance for more periods, which are added to your subscription.

How does pricing work for schools?

Schools are not on self-serve tiers. After a short conversation we set a price with your institution, and it begins only after your 30-day free trial. Schools choose a 6-month or yearly term; we recommend yearly. Once active, every department and team member gets full access. A school subscription renews automatically each term until you cancel, and you can pay in advance for more periods.

What happens when a school trial ends?

If we have already agreed a price for your school, you check out from the Billing tab before or after the trial ends and access is restored for your whole school the moment payment clears. If we have not set a price yet, contact us at support@studentlifeos.com and our team will finalize your plan. We send reminders by email and inside your portal as the date approaches. Until a school has an active, paid subscription, the whole school, including its departments, is locked, but your data is always retained.

What can a school do while its account is locked?

The school owner can still open the Billing tab to check out or contact us, and can update the payment contact. Department leads and team members are asked to reach out to their school owner, who is the only person able to renew the account. The moment payment clears, full access is restored for everyone.

Is there a founding member discount?

The first 100 organizations and first 50 schools to join may receive up to 50% off their chosen plan. Start your free trial now to be considered.

Do team members count against my plan?

Your whole team shares your organization plan and its limits. A team seat never grants more than the plan allows, and access is enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the interface.

Can I switch plans or cancel at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from Manage billing. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep full access until then. There is no automatic refund for the remaining period; if you believe a refund is warranted, contact support@studentlifeos.com and our team will review it.
