Every department, its own recruiting workspace.
Give each department on campus a secure portal tied to your school but private by default. One office cannot recruit for the whole campus
When every internship, scholarship, and event has to route through a single career office, students wait, opportunities go unposted, and no one can tell which parts of campus are actually thriving. A department that runs its own workspace fixes that. Your team posts directly, recruits directly, and supports the exact students you serve, without asking anyone for permission.
The old way
Everything through one inbox
- A professor emails the career office to post one internship, and waits.
- Scholarships, tours, and events sit in scattered spreadsheets and group threads.
- No one knows which department is placing students and which has gone quiet.
- Students hear about opportunities late, or never.
The department way
Its own portal, its own students
- Each department posts its own opportunities in seconds, with QR flyers and passes.
- Internships, scholarships, tours, events, and food assistance all live in one place.
- The school sees a live roll-up of every department, so nothing is invisible.
- Students get what they need on time, from the team that knows them.
A hundred thousand students, made manageable
Picture a large institution: dozens of departments, tens of thousands of students, each one with their own path. StudentLife OS turns that into a clean hierarchy. The school sits at the top, every department runs its own compartment underneath, and each department serves the students it knows, so no single student is ever lost in the crowd.
Every department runs its own recruiting
The engineering department posts engineering internships, career services posts fairs, student affairs posts programs. No one funnels every request through a single overworked office.
Each team owns its students
A department sees its own roster and its own applicants, recruits them directly, and answers to no other department. Real separation, not a shared login.
The school sees the whole picture
The school gets a read-only, roll-up view of every department, so it can tell which teams are active, which are quiet, and where a hundred thousand students are actually being served.
Data that guides funding
When a department contributes, its work shows up in the school analytics. Leadership can see where the outcomes are, and decide which departments to invest in next.
Every kind of opportunity, so students never leave for another site
Students should not have to sign up on a different website every single day to find support. Your department can put all of it in front of them here, from a paid internship to a free lunch, so their success is never scattered across a dozen logins.
Internships and jobs
Paid roles and internships from organizations across every industry, matched to a student major and year.
Scholarships and funding
Merit, need-based, and program scholarships from foundations, employers, and cities, applied to in one place.
Conferences
Professional conferences that put students in the room with the people already doing the work they want to do.
Tours
A tour of a hospital, a newsroom, a fabrication lab, or a city office can be the moment a career finally clicks.
Events and career fairs
Campus and virtual events and fairs where students meet employers and departments face to face.
Hackathons
Build-something weekends where students ship real projects, meet teammates, and get noticed by recruiters.
Research and programs
Research placements, cohorts, and structured programs that turn interest into experience.
Food assistance
A one-tap claim on a campus food pantry listing, because a student cannot focus on a future while hungry.
Student discounts
Real discounts from local and national organizations, delivered as a code and a link, no coupon hunting.
Volunteering and service
Service opportunities that build a resume and a community at the same time.
Not every student knows what they want to be yet, and that is normal. A lot of students are quietly unsure which direction to take. Tours are one of the most powerful ways to help. Walking a student through a hospital, a research lab, a newsroom, a city office, or a trade floor turns an abstract major into a real future they can picture. Your department can post tours the same way it posts anything else, and give a student the moment that finally makes it click.
A complete recruiting workspace, in a single login
Your department portal is not a stripped-down view of the school. It is the same professional toolset organizations use, scoped to your team. Tap any tab to see exactly how it works.
Every tab in your portal
See the department portal in action
The same board, list, and analytics thousands of recruiters use, scoped to your department and your students.

Full analytics, a record of every student, and files that last for years
The value you create should not vanish when the semester ends or a coordinator leaves. StudentLife OS keeps the numbers honest, the history intact, and the documents usable long after the students who generated them have graduated.
Analytics that tell the truth
- A live Today strip and thirty day cards for applications, views, saves, and hires.
- A real hiring funnel and engagement rates, period-scoped and capped at 100 percent.
- Privacy-safe aggregate diversity, hidden below ten applicants, never fed to any AI.
- Filter by time window and academic season, then export to CSV, Excel, or PDF.
A record of past students
- Your roster carries current students, recent graduates, and alumni without lockouts.
- Outcomes by major and by student, so you can prove what your department achieved.
- Accounts move from student to graduate to alumni, and your outcomes keep counting.
- A past-students view shows who you served, long after they walk the stage.
A document library that lasts
- Save offer letters, program packets, forms, and reports to a secure library.
- Send exports and interview files straight to Documents, tenant-scoped and encrypted.
- Share links are private and time limited, never permanent, and revocable at any time.
- Every download, share, and send is recorded, so files stay usable years later.
For the school: delegate without losing control
Departments do the day-to-day work, and the school keeps full oversight. You invite a department lead, they run their own team, and you watch every move in a read-only window. The result is a campus that moves faster and a leadership team that finally knows where its students are being served, and where to invest next.
Why schools join StudentLife OSInvite a lead, keep the oversight
A department lead sets up their own team, posts, and pipeline. You see it all read-only, and cannot be posted around.
Know which departments to fund
Roll-up analytics show who is active, who is placing students, and who is quiet, so budget follows results.
Two clear levers
Cancel a campus update, or suspend or terminate a department. Termination is a cascade lock with the audit history preserved.
Real isolation
A department cannot see another department, and the school office cannot read a department private threads or notes.
More than a job board
Many campuses have relied on a general job board for years. A job board lists jobs. StudentLife OS runs the whole of campus opportunity, and gives every department its own place inside it.
This comparison reflects our understanding of what general campus job boards, such as the widely used ones, typically offer. Features vary by provider and plan and change over time. The point is that StudentLife OS gives a school the whole workflow in one place, per department, rather than a single list of jobs.
All in one platform, so your school pays for one, not ten
Because everything a student needs lives here, your school does not have to buy a job board, plus an events tool, plus a scholarship portal, plus a survey tool, plus a document manager. One agreement covers the whole institution, every department included, which is exactly what makes the price worth it. Schools with more engaged departments get more out of the same plan.
Start with a 30-day free trial
The whole platform opens for the school and every department. No credit card to start.
One custom price, every department included
Agreed with your institution, billed on a six-month or yearly term, with no per-seat and no per-department fees.
You may qualify for welcome merchandise
Schools that come onboard may qualify for merch sent to campus, and early institutions may qualify for launch pricing.
Pay in advance, and it is added to your term
Renewal reminders come well ahead of time, and if a plan lapses, data is retained and access resumes on renewal.
Private by default, secure by design
A department is a fully isolated compartment. Multi-factor authentication protects every seat, role-based access is enforced on our servers so no one reaches an action their role does not allow, invite links expire and are single-use, tokens are hashed at rest, and every sensitive action is written to a tamper-evident audit log.
Questions departments and schools ask
Here is what leads and school owners want to know before they start.
How does a department get on StudentLife OS?+
A department is set up by its school. The school owner invites a department lead, who then builds their own team, posts their own opportunities, and runs their own pipeline. There is no public department signup, because a department belongs to a verified, approved school. If your school is not on StudentLife OS yet, the fastest path is to send your school this page and ask them to start a free trial.
Can our school read our department messages or notes?+
No. Your school can see your activity in a read-only monitoring view, and at the participant level who you have messaged, so misuse can be flagged, but it cannot read the content of your message threads, your recruiter notes, or your draft posts. A department is its own secure compartment, isolated from the school office and from other departments.
What can the school actually do to a department?+
The school has exactly two levers over a department, and both are visible. It can cancel a campus update the department published, and it can suspend or terminate the department. It cannot post under your name, edit your profile, or read your private threads. Termination is a cascade lock that preserves the audit history, never a silent deletion.
How does an active department help the school?+
When every department runs its own recruiting, the work no longer bottlenecks through one career office, and every posting, hire, and campus update rolls up into the school analytics. Leadership can see which departments are active, where students are getting placed, and which teams to fund next. An engaged department is the single clearest signal a school has that its investment is working.
What does it cost a department?+
Nothing directly. The school owns the subscription. A school starts with a 30-day free trial that opens the entire platform, then one custom price agreed with the institution, billed on a six-month or yearly term, with every department and every feature included. There are no per-department fees and no per-seat fees. If the school does not maintain an active plan, every department is locked until it renews, and all data is retained.
Do some schools qualify for anything extra?+
Schools that come onboard may qualify for welcome merchandise sent to campus, and early institutions may qualify for launch pricing. These are handled directly with the school. Talk to our team to see what your institution qualifies for.
Is our student data safe inside a department?+
Yes. Every department seat can require multi-factor authentication, access is role-based and enforced on our servers so no one can reach a tab or action their role does not allow even by editing the URL, invite links expire and are single-use, tokens are hashed at rest, and every sensitive action is written to a tamper-evident audit log. Location is approximate, derived from the network edge, never a device GPS prompt.
Bring every department onto one platform
If your school is already on StudentLife OS, ask your owner to add your department. If it is not yet, send them this page and start a 30-day free trial. Setup takes days, not months.
